Words per minute (WPM) is the number of correctly positioned characters, including spaces, divided by five and by elapsed minutes. It is a standardized pace, not a count of dictionary words. Accuracy is correct newly entered characters divided by all entered characters, so corrected errors still count.
Completed standard tests are saved in this browser. Compare the same duration, difficulty and passage type. Review missed words in a separate 30-second practice round. Practice and early endings do not enter your test history.
Five characters count as one standardized word. The speed calculation is 300 ÷ 5 ÷ 1. Accuracy is a separate measure of newly entered characters, so a corrected mistake can still affect it.
Use a 30-second standard attempt before a writing session. Start with familiar words and concentrate on clean keystrokes.
Keep duration, difficulty, passage type and keyboard the same across sessions. Compare speed alongside accuracy rather than treating every high number as an improvement.
Choose Arcade challenge when you want points, advancing difficulty and optional public ranking. Keep standard tests for a simpler timed practice session.
The arcade challenge starts with 45 seconds. Every three completed rounds, the difficulty rises from Easy through Normal, Hard and Expert to Hell. Hell continues for as long as you can keep time on the clock. Neither points nor banked time has a preset game cap.
Press Space or Enter to commit each word. You may correct it before committing. An exact word earns its character count multiplied by 1, 2, 4, 10 or 15 for the current level. A wrong word loses half that value, rounded up. The running score cannot fall below zero. Incorrect words do not end the run.
Complete a round with at least 80% character-weighted word accuracy to earn time. Maximum bonuses are 12, 10, 8, 6 and 4 seconds from Easy to Hell, scaled by that round’s accuracy. A wrong word counts its entire target length as incorrect. Lower accuracy earns no bonus. The same countdown continues between rounds and through network verification.
Ranked rounds use prepared English words in a similar character-length range. Later levels add longer spellings, case, numbers and punctuation. Scores compare this arcade ruleset; they are not an absolute measure of everyday typing ability. There is no final level to clear or perfect score to reach.

A standard test runs for your chosen duration and reports WPM and accuracy with local history. Arcade uses a continuing countdown, word-based points, advancing levels and optional public score submission. Arcade points are not interchangeable with WPM.
Accuracy counts correct newly entered characters against all entered characters. Backspace can repair the passage, but it does not erase the fact that a wrong character was typed. This keeps accuracy informative even when the final text looks correct.
Longer words, case, punctuation and numbers require different keystrokes and attention. Compare attempts using the same difficulty and passage type instead of treating scores from different settings as equivalent.
No. Completed standard results are stored in this browser, without an account. Clearing browser data or using a different browser or device gives you a different history. Public challenge entries use a separate server leaderboard.
No. The countdown continues while a guide is open or the tab is hidden. Read the rules and set up your keyboard before starting a ranked attempt.
At the end of a verified challenge, you can choose to publish a nickname and score. The board retains up to 100,000 highest scores for the current ruleset. Lower results remain visible on your result screen without becoming a permanent leaderboard entry. Ties are ordered by earlier submission. Rankings can change as other people play.
Standard typing and practice stay in your browser. Ranked play sends your committed challenge words to verify points and timing. Temporary run state expires after 24 hours of inactivity. The server stores a salted network-address hash for start-rate limits, not the raw address in the game database. Your nickname, score, rounds, accuracy and submission time are public only after you choose to submit. Avoid using your real name or contact details.
Leaving a standard test ends it without saving. In a challenge, the clock continues when the tab is hidden or a help dialog is open. Ranked play needs an internet connection. A retry reuses the same round request so it cannot award points twice; extended connection loss may prevent a final score from being verified. Reloading abandons the active run.
No. Words and original sentence material are prepared in advance. Standard passages are shuffled and recent openings are avoided during your visit. Challenge word combinations are issued by the server. There are no live AI requests and no user text is sent to an AI service.
This test currently uses English and exact character matching. A physical keyboard is recommended for ranked play, particularly at Expert and Hell. Mobile keyboard layout, autocorrection and device performance can affect the experience. Korean composition and separate language rankings are not offered.
Keep the private removal link shown after submission if you may want to remove your entry later. The public board does not reveal that link. Server checks reject invalid rounds, duplicate awards and implausibly fast submissions, but no browser-based ranking can guarantee that all automation is detected.
A short, consistent attempt is more useful than chasing a number under different conditions. Keep the same settings when comparing progress, take breaks when needed, and give accuracy room before pushing your pace.
