A clear HSL rule
The companions sit at the chosen angle below and above the base hue. The default is ±30 degrees; the control accepts 10–60 degrees. Hue wraps through 0° so neighboring colors remain connected across the circle boundary.

ONELESS / COLOR
Analogous palettes keep their hues near one another. Start from a base HEX, then widen or narrow the neighbor angle to find a quieter or more varied three-color relationship. The base stays exact while its two companions share saturation and lightness.

UNDERSTAND THE RESULT
The companions sit at the chosen angle below and above the base hue. The default is ±30 degrees; the control accepts 10–60 degrees. Hue wraps through 0° so neighboring colors remain connected across the circle boundary.
The first result is your exact normalized HEX. Companion colors are calculated from HSL and rounded once to 8-bit RGB. Alpha is outside this view; use an opaque 3- or 6-digit code.
At zero saturation every companion can become the same gray. Black and white endpoints also collapse. Select any swatch to inspect black/white text ratios, and assess actual pairs with WCAG Contrast Checker.
HOW TO USE IT
A WORKED EXAMPLE
#FF0000 at a ±30° angle produces #FF0080 and #FF8000 around the base. The channel halves are rounded to 8-bit HEX values.
EVERYDAY USES
Try neighboring hues for illustrations or a related accent family. Keep text and critical states distinct through more than hue alone.
Copy the palette into a draft stylesheet or mood board. Name roles only after checking the colors in their actual composition and text context.
LOCAL WORKSPACE
The tool processes color values locally. It does not upload the input to a processing server or save it in browser storage. Leaving or reloading the page clears the working state. Copying places the selected result on your clipboard; sharing sends only the page address without your working values.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
No. These relationships use digital HSL hue angles in sRGB, not an RYB paint model.
Hue changes have no visible effect on zero-saturation gray or on pure black and white. The tool reports the mathematical relationship without inventing extra saturation.
This focused generator keeps a fixed hue relationship and shared saturation/lightness. Use Color Picker or Color Palette Generator to refine individual outputs afterward.
No. A hue relationship does not guarantee any required contrast ratio. Check the actual text/background or meaningful graphic pair separately.
It changes how far the two neighboring hues sit from the base hue. A narrow spread gives a closer family; a wider spread creates more separation.
Yes. Enter the base HEX, then adjust the spread. The base provides the anchor while the neighboring hues are derived around it.
Nearby hues can also have similar luminance. Use the generated palette as a starting point and check the intended text/background pair before applying it.
